Eid Al-Fitr holiday: Saudia adds 20 flights between Riyadh, Jeddah and Red Sea Destination

The partnership is a long-term strategic partnership that will strengthen tourism initiatives by Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority

As part of ongoing efforts to promote premier tourism destinations across the Kingdom, Saudia has added 20 flights connecting Riyadh and Jeddah with the Red Sea Destination during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, bringing the total number of operations on the routes to 44.

The Red Sea Destination is an ambitious luxury tourism project on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, developed by the Public Investment Fund’s Red Sea Global as part of Vision 2030.

When the regenerative tourism site is finished in 2030, it will have 50 resorts with 8,000 hotel rooms and more than 1,000 residential properties spread over 22 islands and six inland locations, all of which will run solely on renewable energy.

“Saudia’s integrated guest experience, including advanced AI-powered digital services for personalised travel planning, streamlined airport procedures, and an onboard experience reflecting Saudi hospitality alongside a wide range of entertainment for guests of all ages,” the press release stated.

The partnership is a long-term strategic partnership that will strengthen tourism initiatives by Saudia and the Saudi Tourism Authority through expanded flight connectivity, increased seat capacity, and unique travel experiences that capture the cultural character of the Kingdom to support Saudi Arabia’s national tourism target to reach 150 million visitors by 2030, the statement added.

Its growing fleet is driving growth across its international network of over 100 destinations in more than 20 countries across four continents and all 26 domestic airports in Saudi Arabia.

To further connect the world with the Kingdom, the airline will add more international routes, backed by 116 new aircraft to join the current fleet of 149 planes.

It is a member of the International Air Transport Association, the Arab Air Carriers Organisation, and has been a SkyTeam member since 2012.

Meanwhile, in other news, UAE airports and airlines are gradually resuming operations following recent regional disruptions. While limited flights have restarted across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, passengers are advised to travel only with confirmed bookings.
