Telegram, the encrypted messaging platform, has rolled out a new update with several exciting features aimed at enhancing the user experience. The update includes colourful calls, a visually appealing Thanos Snap Effect for deleted messages and a major Bot update designed for over 800 million monthly active users.
The update brings significant improvements to the calling feature, enabling users to hold conversations, activate their cameras and share their screens, all while maintaining the security of end-to-end encryption. These enhancements are available on every platform, making them accessible to all users.
The redesigned calling interface marks a new step forward, featuring new animations and beautiful backgrounds that adapt to the call’s status, whether it’s ringing, active or concluded.
“This update addresses numerous bugs and interface glitches, underlining Telegram’s commitment to providing a seamless user experience,” the company said.
Telegram recently introduced an energy-efficient Thanos Snap Effect that adds an extra layer of visual delight to the messaging experience when a message is deleted. This feature is available on both iOS and Android platforms, and it builds on the experimental vapourise animation that was introduced on iOS last month.
The company said, “Telegram’s versatile and free bot platform empowers developers to seamlessly integrate diverse services into the Telegram ecosystem, from simple chatbots to robust mini-apps capable of replacing entire websites.”
Additionally, Telegram has made a significant milestone in the evolution of its Bot Platform by adding several enhancements. Bots can now respond to messages, monitor reactions, handle quotes and links, and seamlessly contribute replies across various chats or topics.
“The enhancements extend further, allowing bots to retrieve information about giveaways and boosts in channels where they hold administrative roles,” Telegram added.
