Brands for Less partners with IQ Robotics for new development

160 robots will be deployed by IQ Robotics to boost the UAE-based company’s operations

The UAE based company Brands For Less ( BFL) has signed a deal with IQ Robotic, a Dubai-based company for new developments in its back-end logistics operations, media reports said.

It is reported that 160 robots will be deployed by IQ Robotics to boost the UAE-based company’s operations and drive its digital strategy. Furthermore, each robot will process 150,000 pieces per day.

Brands For Less injected $12 million in its ecommerce activities earlier this year as part of its growth strategy. The company’s co-founder Yasser Beydoun believes that the company’s online presence will spike up to 50 percent of total operations within five years. Furthermore, the company has the potential to assist any type of business to deal with the growing demand.

The company started its operations in 1996 in Lebanon and after four years, it rolled out the operation in the Emirates, while later incorporating its headquarters in Dubai. The company has 1,700 people and has 65 stores across the Middle East. It has also opened a store in Spain.

Toufic Kreidieh, CEO of BFL Group, told the media, “By partnering with IQ Robotics, we are able to leverage faster turnaround times of injecting newness in stock back onto our retail shelves, especially considering that increased volume capability is necessary to ensure we provide this same experience consistently on a larger scale.”

The company recently purchased of a 30,000 square metre warehouse in Jebel Ali Freezone. The move is a big boost for the company in terms of sustainability and growth.
