For Windows, WhatsApp offers a brand-new standalone app. As a result, WhatsApp desktop users can now send, receive, and sync messages without connecting to their primary smartphone.
The web-based version of WhatsApp must currently be downloaded in order to utilise WhatsApp on desktop computers. The new app is native to Windows and functions independently of the phone app.
According to WhatsApp, the new app would provide increased reliability and speed. It also says that it is created and optimised for your desktop operating system. Even when their phone is offline, the app will still allow users to get notifications and messages.

A native WhatsApp desktop application for Mac OS X is currently being created. For early access, interested ones can download the WhatsApp beta program.
The new app offers a cleaner interface and resembles the old version almost exactly in terms of UI and style. Users no longer need to have their phones linked to the internet in order to get WhatsApp notifications and messages. This is the app’s only significant change.
WhatsApp extended the time limit to delete messages, earlier in the month. Currently, users have 68 minutes to remove these messages. WhatsApp users will now have 2 days and 12 hours to delete their messages. Users have the option of deleting messages for just themselves or for everyone else.
