BossaBox raises $1.5 mn in funding led by Astella Investment to foster development

The startup has completed more than 90 projects across Brazil

South American digital solution startup BossaBox has secured a $1.5 million funding. It is reported that Astella Investments led the funding, while Redpoint eventures and MIT Angels were the other participants in the funding.

The startup focuses on the development of digital products. It creates a bridge between companies and independent tech professionals through its platform and provides them with digital software solutions.

Bossabox has completed more than 90 projects across Brazil and they are assessed through the platform’s rigorous selection process. The new funding will bolster the startup’s team of connected freelancers training and development as it is dedicated to the increasing diversity.

The platform also supports initiatives such as Reprograma, a project dedicated toward women that trains them in the tech segment. Companies such as Omo, neoenergia, and Hering  are some of the startup’s customers in Brazil. BossaBox is planning to triple its revenue by the year end, closing at $2 million.

Brazil has produced many startups in recent times and it has become one of the hotbeds for global investors.
