Mira Developments has announced Richmond District, the first branded residential development and fully integrated master plan in the area, developed in partnership with John Richmond, the luxury brand.
Situated adjacent to Discovery Gardens Metro Station, Richmond District consists of five residential towers, one office tower and a shared podium centred around water, wellness and everyday convenience.
The project formally launched on April 2 at a Grand Unveiling event with more than 4,000 guests. The main event was at Baoli Dubai, with a simultaneous live broadcast at African Queen for audiences at both venues. Mena Marano, CEO of John Richmond, attended the event.
The development features tailored lines, rock-inspired attitude and confident detailing, bringing John Richmond’s visual language into the built environment. The fashion house’s unmistakable brand aesthetic has been applied to studios and apartments, creating a fully realised residential concept.
The architecture also features an adaptive mashrabiya system of windows and shutters, a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional feature that lets residents regulate light, privacy and airflow for improved comfort and reduced heat. The design of the architecture was developed by Marco Casamonti of Archea Associati, in collaboration with John Richmond.
“Marco understood my work and immediately translated my style through his own design,” Richmond said.
Amenities include Technogym-equipped fitness areas for ladies and gents, an outdoor sports area, and a yoga space. The development has cafés and retail at ground level, while valet parking, concierge support, cleaning and room service provide a hospitality-led character.
Al Furjan is a more mature residential community than some of Dubai’s newer areas, with schools, parks and daily infrastructure already in place. It remains highly connected: Dubai Marina is about eight minutes away, Palm Jumeirah about ten, Downtown Dubai under twenty, and Al Maktoum International Airport about twenty minutes by car.
