Jordan’s real estate market showed renewed activity in September, with the value of property transactions rising 16% to JD720.5 million, according to figures from the Department of Lands and Survey in the Western Asian country.
“The September trading value was also 7% higher than in August, although total real estate trading during the first nine months of the year fell 1% from the same period in 2025 to around JD5.1 billion,” the Department said.
“Market revenues rose 14% year-on-year in September to approximately JD28.7 million and increased 5% from August,” the data stated further.
During the first nine months of the year, real estate revenues rose 6% year-on-year to around JD210.8 million.
In September, Jordan’s property sales increased 6% compared with the same month in 2025, despite a 3% decline from August.
The administration reported that apartment sales, which rose 17% year-on-year and 7% from August, primarily drove the increase.
Land sales increased 2% year-on-year in September but fell 6% from August.
“For the first nine months of the year, however, overall property sales activity declined 7% compared with the same period in 2025. Apartment sales fell 3%, while land sales dropped 8%,” the Department of Lands and Survey observed.
Companies in the Kingdom purchased a total of 8,214 properties during the first nine months of the year.
The estimated value of property purchases by non-Jordanians, on the other hand, rose 17% during the first nine months of the year compared with the same period in 2025, reaching approximately JD168.3 million.
The increase came despite a 1% decline in the number of transactions involving non-Jordanians. Apartment purchases rose 7%, while land purchases in the Western Asian nation fell 12%.
“In September alone, the estimated value of property purchases by non-Jordanians reached around JD21.2 million, up 4% from September 2025 but down 11% from August,” the department said.
The number of transactions involving non-Jordanians fell 1% year-on-year in September and 14% compared with the previous month.
Apartment purchases by non-Jordanians rose 3% year-on-year in September but declined by 9% from August. Land purchases, on the other hand, fell 8% year-on-year and 23% from August.
