Kuwait Airways has revealed its summer 2025 flight schedule, targeting popular destinations from June to September. The airline plans to start flights to new sites even as it becomes more visible in hitherto undiscovered areas.
Four weekly flights to Moscow will begin on June 6, according to Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan. Other additions are Alexandria, starting July 1 with three weekly flights, and Luxor, starting July 2 with the same frequency.
Starting in June 2025, four weekly flights from well-known summer locations, including Antalya, Bodrum, and Trabzon, begin on June 1; Antalya and Bodrum services start on June 2. Highlights are Sharm El-Sheikh with two weekly flights from June 4, Malaga with three weekly flights starting June 5, and Nice with two weekly flights starting June 17.
To meet growing demand, Kuwait Airways will upgrade services to many destinations, including Salalah and Vienna, with four weekly flights each from June 2 and June 1, respectively. Starting June 1, flights to Kuala Lumpur will also increase and follow a three-weekly schedule. The summer schedule calls for 58 international sites covered under permanent lines.
By selecting Boeing B777-300 aircraft with Royal and Business Class options, Kuwait Airways will be able to meet demand on European routes and ensure customer pleasure. Al-Faqan noted that these changes are based on extensive market research meant to evaluate consumer demand and guarantee airline expansion.
Mohsen Al-Faqan further stressed Kuwait Airways’ aim to diversify its fleet and enhance customer experience. Originally established in 1953 under Kuwait National Airways Limited, the airline took its first flight in 1954. 1962 saw the Kuwaiti government assume total responsibility, therefore guaranteeing their relevance in aviation.
On February 10, JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the company selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to build and operate John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new world-class Terminal 6 (T6), and Kuwait Airways announced the latter opting for the new T6 for its future operations at JFK.
The airline will become the 12th carrier to operate from T6 when the first gates open in 2026, joining a growing list of award-winning international carriers who will make T6 their future home at JFK, including Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Condor, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways, and SWISS.
Terminal 6 has emerged as a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s USD 19 billion transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport into a world-class gateway, with facilities like two new terminals, two expanded and modernised terminals, a new ground transportation centre, and an entirely new, simplified roadway network.
While Kuwait Airways has served the New York market, its primary gateway in North America, for more than 40 years, it currently operates regular service from JFK Terminal 7 to Kuwait using its state-of-the-art, Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A330-800 widebody aircraft.
Kuwait passengers, from 2026, will experience T6’s digital-first, boutique guest experience, with a less than five-minute average walk from the TSA security checkpoint exit to all gates, along with 100,000 square feet of NYC-inspired shopping, dining, lounges and amenities, curated public art, sustainable operating features, and a premium guest experience throughout the terminal.
