The most recent events in Lebanon and the region were discussed during the meeting between Prince Faisal bin Farhan and President Joseph Aoun. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for Lebanon and its citizens was reiterated by Prince Faisal.

In order to wish Aoun, the government, and the people of Lebanon more development and prosperity, Prince Faisal sent greetings from King Salman, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari, Assistant Director General of the Minister’s Office Walid Al-Samaeel, and Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Farhan, advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Lebanese Affairs, attended the reception.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for Lebanon and its people in a press briefing after he met with President Aoun. He also emphasised that the Kingdom has a positive outlook on Lebanon’s future.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to support Lebanon. Prince Faisal emphasised the significance of reforms and said that putting them into place would boost international trust in Lebanon.

“I discussed with President Joseph Aoun the importance of adhering to the ceasefire agreement, and we trust the ability of the president and his prime minister to restore stability in the country,” he said.

“We hope that our relations with Saudi Arabia will grow stronger,” President Aoun said, interpreting the Saudi foreign minister’s visit as a message of hope.

President Joseph Aoun expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its assistance to Lebanon, particularly in filling the void left by the president.
