Total Marine Fuels has secured a five-year LNG bunker supply license from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). Total Marine Fuels is a unit of French oil major Total. The development is expected to bolster and ramp up LNG bunkering volumes in Singapore and assist the country to become Asia’s leading bunkering hub.
FueLNG and Pavilion Energy are the existing license holders. The MPA floated a request for proposal in October last year for entities who are seeking to supply LPG bunker in the Port of Singapore. According to MPA, Singapore houses an LNG bunker supply capacity of up to one million tonnes per annum.
The Port of Singapore has the potential to become the best in Asia and also expand its product offerings seamlessly.
