Sharjah-based SRTI Park has announced its MEA energy innovation hub to boost opportunities in the energy, oil and gas and low carbon segments. The MEA energy innovation hub will connect all players in the energy ecosystem and provide a platform for innovation and business growth.
SRTI Park has partnered with Barrabes.biz, a Spanish innovation consultancy to establish the energy innovation hub.
The new development is supported by the Emirates’ Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. The launch virtually attended by the CEO of SRTI Park Hussain Al Mahmoudi and Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
Furthermore, the energy hub will roll out, scale-up and commercialise technology ventures through partnership and accelerator programmes. The hub will also create human capital and strengthen the triple-helix engagement among educational institutions, private industries and the government.
The innovation hub is poised to attract corporate investors and SME’s through R&D funding. The stakeholders and partners of the innovation hub belong to the energy and allied segments. They are expected to deliver solutions to complex problems and solve them with partners in driving the growth of the energy segment.
Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, told the media, “The UAE’s possession of knowledge and innovation centres makes it more capable of crossing the next fifty years with future skills based on the concept of innovation, creativity and excellence in various vital sectors, including energy.”
The UAE is becoming one of the hotbeds for global investors due to its hospitality and development.
