Qatar Airways enters into codeshare alliance with Deutsche Bahn

The airline presently runs 35 flights in a week between Doha and Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich

Qatar Airways has proclaimed a codeshare alliance with Germany’s major railway service provider Deutsche Bahn, providing tourists with hassle-free connectivity to and from eight key locations in the European country.

According to the codeshare alliance, Deutsche Bahn, which is among the biggest railway operators in Europe, will offer commuters with connectivity to Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Hannover, Leipzig, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Munich. Passengers will enter through Qatar Airways’ Frankfurt entrance.

Akbar Al Baker, chief executive of Qatar Airways Group, said that the codeshare alliance between Qatar Airways and Deutsche Bahn will bolster the existing cordial relations between Qatar and Germany.

Elaborating more on the advantages of the codeshare alliance, he said that enables its travellers in Doha and other several locations across the world to visit new places in Germany. The airline presently runs 35 flights in a week between Doha and Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich.

Speaking on this new collaboration, Berthold Huber, member of the management board for passenger transport of Deutsche Bahn, said that through the latest codeshare alliance, they were delighted to boost the fruitful and enduring Rail &Fly partnership with Qatar Airways.

He also added that this will facilitate their numerous customers to enjoy a convenient, hassle-free travel through various German cities in quick time.
