J1 Beach: Upcoming tourism hub in Dubai

J1 Beach will be the first flagship beach resort of its kind in the region

Merex Investment has announced the redevelopment of La Mer South, dubbed “J1 Beach,” which will have three new beachside experiences, Gigi Rigolatto, Bâoli, and Sirene Beach by Gaia, apart from ten other upmarket eateries.

J1 Beach will be the first flagship beach resort of its kind in the region. It will be in the heart of Jumeirah, Dubai, with unobstructed sea views, high-end food and drink options, and various high-end activities.

Visitors will be able to use valet and parking facilities, golf cart shuttle services and green paths that will be shaded during the day and illuminated at night for beachgoers. Visitors can also come by sea via a framed waterfront reception.

The new restaurants here will be fully licensed to be open 24/7.

“J1 Beach is an exciting extension of Dubai as a leading lifestyle and business destination,” said Shahram Shamsaee, CEO of Merex Investment Group.

“We firmly believe that the addition of day-to-night seaside lifestyle experiences and restaurants will reimagine the way visitors enjoy interactive and new elevated choices,” he said.

“Merex Investments strives to push destinations to and beyond their business potential by capitalizing on great sites and amplifying placemaking concepts. Three new J1 Beach additions will support the growth of local and global partners by delivering holistic, convenient, and diverse lifestyle assets,” Shahram Shamsaee added.

Residents can participate in Dubai’s lifestyle scene, which is constantly growing. This aligns with Merex Investment’s goal of letting people rethink how they experience the city.

Merex and Paris Society International have agreed to bring Gigi Rigolatto to the region for the first time. Rigolatto will offer guests an Italian menu, an indoor restaurant, two outdoor terraces, a garden, a Bellini bar, a swimming pool, a kids’ circus, a wellness area, and direct access to the beach.

Following the success of Saint Tropez, Paris, and Val d’Isère, Dubai is Gigi Rigolatto’s conspicuous following beach location, which will feature all of its unique experiences.”

Sirene Beach by Gaia is an outgrowth of Dubai’s home-grown Greek-Mediterranean concept, Gaia, and was created by restauranteur Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani.

“Research has shown a shift in global holiday trends, with a large increase in people opting for regular recreation at beaches and restaurants rather than travelling,” said Kuzin, co-founder of Gaia.

Bâoli at J1 Beach will also be a new entry point into the Middle East. It is a fashionable restaurant that has succeeded in Miami, US, and Cannes, France, offering modern Japanese cuisine and drawing A-listers.

While development is underway, the area will be closed. However, it will be open to the public by the end of 2023.
