DHA provides medicine home delivery service across the UAE

Its medicine home delivery service Dawa’ee is rolled out across the UAE to help citizens cope with the Covid-19 pandemic

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has further expanded its medicine home delivery service Dawa’ee across the UAE, the media reports said. The DHA’s efforts will help the citizens to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has caused great demand for medical home delivery services. This demand is especially significant among elders, media reports said. The DHA’s Dawa’ee service seeks to deliver medication to elders and people who have valid ENAYA or SAADA health insurance programmes, media reports said.

The service is in partnership with Talabat. This service was launched last December. Muhammed Yildirim, Talabat Country Managing Director – UAE, told the media, “We would like to thank the DHA for giving us the opportunity to utilise our logistic delivery web to expand its medicine home delivery. This has allowed us to perform our social responsibility role in delivering important medication to those with chronic diseases and elders who are at high risk and should avoid leaving their homes. At Talabat, our priority without a doubt is ensuring the safety and health of all those living in the UAE and the region and we are happy to partner with local government authorities to do everything we can to ensure the continuity of this work.”

More recently the DHA opened the Cover-19 testing facility at Al Nasr Club, media reports said. Residents can book an appointment at the facility by first calling the DHA on a dedicated phone line. Following that, they will receive a text regarding the appointment to ease complexities in the current situation.
