Almajdouie Logistics to implement advanced fleet management

The new fleet management system will help the logistics company to improve efficiency and fulfill stringent regional legal requirements

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Almajdouie Logistics has signed a deal with WABCO, a US-based company as part of its development plan. It is reported that WABCO which is a global market leader for Trailer Electronic Braking System will provide 1,200 trucks and 1,400 trailers to Almajdouie Logistics.

The new deal will pave the way for WABO to expand its presence across the Middle East on the back of its established market presence in the US. WABCO will also replace the company’s current basic track-and-trace solution with its advanced telematics solutions and support services. The installation of new solutions will boost Almajdouie Logistics’ digital transformation goals while allowing it to grow its business through data-driven insights and a real-time fleet management system.

The fleet management system will assist Almajdouie Logistics to seamlessly understand its customer service and quality. The technology expects to improve the efficiency of both its fleet and back-office operations while reducing operational costs and enhance cargo safety by fulfilling the stringent regional legal requirements.

Almajdouie Logistics Heavy Lift General Manager, Eyad Hamzah Arafah, told the media, “WABCO offers one of the widest and most complete portfolios in the sector, combining solutions for trucks, trailers and the back office into one single ecosystem. Other key considerations in the selection included the extensive ECO program and smooth integration with our existing TMS and ERP systems. For years, Almajdouie has been using a basic track-and-trace solution to pinpoint the whereabouts of its fleet. In today’s increasingly competitive and connected logistics market, that is no longer enough.”
